(15-Feb-2022)
Location: Belize
Event: Updated Land and Sea Border Entry Requirements for Belize
Effective February 7, 2022, land and sea borders re-opened to all persons qualified to enter
Belize. All travelers entering Belize through land and sea borders must take a Rapid Test for COVID-19, administered by the Ministry of Health and Wellness, at their own expense. No externally obtained COVID-19 PCR or Rapid Test will be accepted at these points of entry. Travelers exiting and returning to Belize the same day do not require testing unless exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
Land borders are now open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. More information on entry and exit requirements is available at the Belize Tourism Board website.
NOTE: Effective February 15, 2022, all foreign tourists entering Belize must present evidence to Belizean immigration officials of Belize Travel Insurance coverage (in addition to any travel insurance a traveler may elect to purchase independently).
