The series will take place on www.facebook.com/AmericanEnglishforEducators. The series consists of 6 online sessions that last 60 minutes each. Sessions cover a variety of topics and are intended for present or future teachers of English around the world. You can participate from your home, school or office using a computer or mobile device with internet connection. Those who attend at least 4 out of the 6 webinars through viewing groups will receive e-certificates. Individual participants will receive an electronic badge per session viewed provided they answer a short questionnaire.
The series will run from January 9 to March 20 as per the calendar below. Sessions will be held every other Wednesday at 8:00 am and 1:00 PM, EDT. Please note that Summer Daylight Savings Time will start on March 10. Check http://timeanddate.com for the time in your region. You can participate at the time that is convenient for you and alternate schedules if you wish. It’s advisable to join the associated social network (http://americanenglishwebinars.com) to view recordings of the sessions, access various resources, and participate in discussions.
To register viewing groups, send the following information to BelmopanPA@state.gov: First name, Last name, e-mail address, name of your school. The deadline to register is 12 noon Friday, January 4, 2019. A viewing group consists of at least 3 people who gather at a given venue to participate in the sessions. Only the coordinator of the group will need to register as indicated above. The coordinator also has to take attendance to request the corresponding certificates at the end of the series.
